Issue 12: Custom Table Linens for Hause Design Brunch, Amsterdam

Bespoke white tablecloths and napkins, made by OURY HOME for a gathering of the design community in Amsterdam.

For the second Hause Design Brunch, OURY HOME was invited to create a series of custom-made white table linens and napkins for the event, held at the Robuust Amsterdam showroom.

Organised by Buro Hause PR, the brunch brought together people from across design, interiors, hospitality, media and product development for a morning of conversation and exchange.

For the setting, we created multiple white tablecloths and matching napkins, each made specifically for the event through our Amsterdam atelier. The idea was to keep the textiles simple and quiet, allowing the flowers, objects, food and people around the table to take centre stage. The result was a series of tables connected by the same soft white linen — creating a sense of continuity throughout the space while still feeling relaxed and natural.

At OURY, we often think about textiles as part of the atmosphere rather than decoration alone. A tablecloth changes the way a table feels. A napkin becomes part of the small ritual of sitting down together. For an event like this, those details quietly help shape the setting in which people meet, talk and spend time. Seeing the pieces used across several tables was especially meaningful for us. Made individually in our atelier, they became part of a much larger composition once placed together in the showroom.

The Hause Design Brunch was organised by Buro Hause PR in collaboration with Fatboy, Smeg Nederland and Iittala, creating a meeting place for the Amsterdam design community.

A simple project, but one that reflects something very close to OURY: making pieces for real spaces, real tables and the moments that happen around them.
