Issue 7: A Slower Summer: Finding Beauty in Nature's Full Bloom

Featured in this story: the handcrafted OURY × RAE Flower Bag and Bandana.

Every summer brings a quieter rhythm. As wildflowers reach their fullest bloom and the evenings grow longer, we're reminded that the season isn't only about travel. Some of the most memorable summer days are the ones spent closer to home, walking through nature, gathering flowers, and appreciating the beauty of everyday rituals.

There is something special about slowing down this time of year. Taking the longer path home, wandering without a destination, and noticing the small details that often pass us by. Fields are at their fullest, gardens overflow with colour, and flowers seem to find their way into our hands almost effortlessly.

The most memorable summers aren’t always the busiest ones. They’re the ones where time slows, flowers find their way into our hands, and ordinary days become enough. A gentle reminder that beauty often lives in the simplest moments, if we allow ourselves the time to notice.

For this journal, we captured that feeling through two handcrafted RAE x OURY pieces designed to accompany the season. Flower Bag, made for mornings at the market and afternoons spent gathering blooms, and Head Scarf Bandana, a simple companion for slow walks, warm days, and everything in between. More than seasonal accessories, they're an invitation to embrace summer at a gentler pace.
